2025-2026 Parent Input Form
Due by Wednesday, April 30th
We invite you to share information about your child using this form to help us with class placements for next year. While we welcome your input, please note that this form isn't for requesting specific teachers. Also, we don't consider which teachers taught older siblings when making placements, as we recognize each child has their own unique needs. We carefully consider each student's academic abilities and social-emotional needs during this process.
Our teachers play an important role in creating class rosters, so we ask that you focus on positive information rather than negative experiences, as forms with negative references cannot be considered. Additionally, while we understand sometimes certain students shouldn't be placed together, we kindly ask you to limit your peer placement requests.
We truly value your input in this process. However, please understand that factors like projected enrollment numbers, staff changes, and other considerations may affect our ability to accommodate all requests. Please submit just one form per child. If you need to complete a form for another child, simply refresh the Google form link. We'll review all submissions received before April 30th as we begin our class planning after that date.
Boosterthon - CONGRATULATIONS JC!
Over $18,000 Raised!
Congratulations, Julian Curtiss community! Thanks to your incredible hard work and generous contributions, we've surpassed our ambitious fundraising goal of $18,000! This remarkable achievement demonstrates the power of our school community when we come together for a common purpose.
As promised, your efforts were rewarded with the unforgettable sight of Mr. Calderon getting thoroughly slimed in front of our cheering school community - a messy but memorable celebration of our collective success!
These funds will be directed toward important school improvements that will benefit all our students. Your generosity directly impacts the educational experience we can provide at Julian Curtiss.
Good news for anyone who missed contributing: the donation link below will remain active for one more week. Any additional contributions will help us extend our improvement plans even further.
Thank you again for your tremendous support and school spirit!
Principal for a Day - Noah Mesarina
A huge round of applause for Noah Mesarina who absolutely rocked his role as Principal for the Day! Noah started bright and early, warmly greeting students with high-fives and smiles as they arrived. His morning announcements were delivered with confidence and enthusiasm, setting a positive tone for everyone's day.
Throughout the school day, Noah was everywhere at once—popping into classrooms, joining reading groups, and even helping with a science experiment! He wasn't afraid to roll up his sleeves and dive into the learning alongside our students.
Thank you, Principal Mesarina, for bringing your energy and leadership to JC! You made our day extraordinary!
Spring Break 4/14 - 4/18
Spring Break is almost here! We hope your April 14-18 is filled with sunshine, laughter, and plenty of family adventures (or maybe just some well-deserved relaxation!). Enjoy every moment of this special time together, and we'll be ready with big smiles to welcome everyone back on Monday, April 21st!

Attention ALL JC Parents:
Book of the Month đź“– - IMAGINE
In celebration of National Poetry Month, we are proud to share imagine by former U.S. Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera—a poetic and powerful picture book that invites children to dream of the possibilities in their own lives.
With soft, expressive illustrations by Caldecott Honoree Lauren Castillo, imagine follows Herrera’s journey from a young boy working in the fields with his family to becoming a celebrated poet. Each page is a gentle, rhythmic invitation to wonder, reflect, and dream:
"Imagine what you could do..."
This New York Times bestseller speaks to every dreaming heart and encourages students to think big, embrace who they are, and know that their words—and their dreams—matter.
Ask your child: What do you imagine for your future? Their answer might just be the start of a beautiful story.
If you’d like to join in celebrating this inspiring poem, please check out this clip where Juan Felipe Herrera reads "Imagine" from his inaugural reading as U.S. Poet Laureate.
