Description

Are you ready to transform the way your team empowers students with intensive support needs related to autism? Are you looking to equip your team with the knowledge and tools to help students navigate their behavior pathways and achieve their full potential? Join us for this essential FREE training on managing and supporting complex autism-related behaviors in educational settings.

You will bring a team to this training who will work with the OCALI Autism Center staff to use a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) process to determine appropriate supports for students with complex needs, including those requiring PBIS Tier III supports. Your team will also: Identify underlying characteristics and needs that may influence student behavior and impact learning and participation across various environments, Leverage student strengths to build a tailored Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) that supports academic, social and emotional growth, Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIP) using evidence-based practices that focus on teaching students with autism the critical skills necessary for success in the classroom and beyond.

Someone from your team will be asked to complete a team form with emails and designate the team lead. This form will be sent to OCALI to indicate which team members will be present for the two days of training. The intent of this training is to focus on a specific child and create a plan that the team can use to support his/her behavior in the classroom.
