PTSO President's Message
Welcome Back Everyone!
This is my first welcome letter as the incoming PTSO President and I am very excited about the school year! I want to warmly welcome all new incoming and returning families to SCPA.
The PTSO is an integral part of the SCPA community family. Not only do we host fun events during the school year, such as Gingerbread Night, Parent Coffee Chats, and Teacher Appreciation Cookout, but we also provide funds to our teachers and students, as well as several hundred volunteer hours to support our performing arts productions. All of this takes the hard work and dedication of our families. Each one of us has different skills, talents, and resources that are desperately needed to make SCPA what it is.
Please join me, the PTSO board, and our entire community as we embark on the quest to ensure SCPA reaches its greatest potential. The adage, “It takes a village”, comes to mind when I think about all the wonderful things that happen at SCPA. With your help, we can strengthen and build our village to unbelievable heights. See you at the Parent Coffee Chat on August 23rd from 8-10am and the first PTSO Meeting on September 3 at 6:30.

News from the Artistic Director's Desk
- Music lesson applications are due Monday, August 26th in order to be scheduled for lessons beginning the week of Sept. 3. Grades 4-12 may apply. Please read the policy thoroughly before completing the application.
- Artistic fee waivers are first come, first served. Once we reach capacity we will not be able to extend a fee waiver.
- Change of Major applications are due by August 22 in order to be scheduled for an audition. Please read the information letter thoroughly before completing the application. Incomplete applications (teacher signature missing) and late applications will not be processed. This brings me to the prep packet for grades 7-12. I will go ahead and post what we have onto the website so the students know how to prepare. (Any changes made to the packet will be uploaded after the COM auditions.)
- Artistic Dropbox (by the elevator, under the bulletin board). This is where you should turn in all forms for the Artistic Director. You must put them in here, as they will not be accepted if given to a teacher or the main office. All Artistic forms can be found on the website under the Arts tab.
