Campus-Wide Updates and Information Campus-Wide Updates and Information

iReady Diagnostic This Week iReady Diagnostic This Week

It’s hard to believe that we’re already preparing for the second i-Ready Diagnostic. The second Diagnostic is an important benchmark for understanding your student’s growth, which is why it’s so important they try their best. These results allow us to better support them in achieving their goals for the year.

The most important thing we can do is prepare students and motivate them to put forth their best effort.

Here are a few things you can do to help support your student:

  • Make sure they get a good night’s rest before taking the Diagnostic!

  • Talk to your student about why the second Diagnostic is important. You can say things like:

    • The second Diagnostic helps you find out how much progress you’ve made since the beginning of the year.

    • It allows your teacher and I to celebrate your accomplishments!

    • Try your best, and do not rush—but don’t spend too much time on a question either.

    • Remember, questions on the Diagnostic change based on your answers to earlier questions. You will see some questions you don’t know. That is okay! Just try your best.

  • Let them know you’re excited to celebrate their progress.

Thank you for your continued partnership in your student’s learning.

Bond Project Update Bond Project Update

Exciting changes are underway! This week marks the start of our much-anticipated Bond Project. As shared previously, progress will bring some temporary adjustments, but the outcome will be worth it as we work toward a fresh, modernized campus.

Construction Begins This Week

  • The construction company will install the construction barrier (highlighted in yellow below) to establish their worksite and begin the addition, the most time-intensive phase of the project. While this barrier is in place, access to any areas inside the fencing will be restricted. Alternative pathways (highlighted in light blue) will be used for navigating around the construction zone.

Parent and Dismissal Adjustments

  • For now, parents should use the cafeteria entrance currently used for PK-2 arrival for dismissal as well. I am actively exploring ways to adjust dismissal procedures, as this entrance will also be impacted by the construction. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this transition. I am committed to minimizing disruptions to our school operations throughout this process.

Phase I Overview: 3rd Floor Renovations

  • Timeline: Begins over Winter Break; tentative completion by May 2025.
  • Scope: Classroom Renovations will be completed in two groups, each with 6 classrooms.

While these timelines are subject to change, I want to assure you that we will not compromise quality for speed. My priority is to ensure this project meets the highest standards—your students deserve nothing less. I will continue to provide updates and communicate changes as they arise. Thank you for your partnership as we take this exciting step toward transforming our campus.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions you have regarding the Bond Project.
