PTSA/NAF Message
Happy Thanksgiving, Spartans!
Happy Holiday Season, Spartans!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make the Newcomb Academy Foundation’s Benefit Bash a tremendous success! Thanks to your generosity and support, we raised over $20,000 for student programs—all while having an unforgettable night together.
Our annual Winterfest is this Saturday from 5–8pm, and we can’t wait to see you there! Join us for photos with Santa, a magical train ride, glowing putt-putt, hot cocoa, delicious food, exciting raffles, festive shopping, our beloved Penguin Patch, and plenty of Spartan spirit!
In the coming weeks, our Spartans will visit the Penguin Patch with their classes, perform in their grade-level holiday shows, and enjoy the cheerful festivities happening across campus.
Looking ahead:
- January 13 – Family Skate Night & Middle School Jeopardy
- February 6 – Family Magic Show
- May 8 – Foundation Golf Classic (rescheduled—thank you, golfers, for your patience!)
Wishing you all the joy and merriment of the season,
Amber DeVeny, PTSA President
Lauren Arevian, NAF President
Volunteer Spotlight
Newcomb's Winterfest: It's a Small World - Gina Flores
If there is magic at Newcomb, chances are she had a hand in creating it. As PTSA Vice President and the unstoppable force behind Winter Fest, Gina pours her heart, creativity, and relentless dedication into everything she touches. She is the definition of a “doer of all things PTSA,” working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring joy, connection, and opportunity to every Spartan on campus.
Her superpower? Loving on this community with the kind of generosity and enthusiasm that inspires everyone around her. Whether she’s dreaming up new ways to make school events unforgettable, rallying volunteers with a smile, or making sure every student feels seen and celebrated, she leads with a rare combination of vision and heart.
We are so grateful for her leadership, her passion, and the endless love she pours into our Spartans. She truly is the heartbeat of PTSA magic.
