Future 7th Grader Information

All of the electives listed below require either a tryout, audition, or application. Please read through and note dates for each elective. If you have questions, please contact the sponsor/teacher. We do offer many electives that do not require an application, students just need to select those classes for next year. This document outlines everything we offer to seventy grade students.

Students are required to have a semester of:

• fine arts (band, choir, art, adv. art, drama, or stagecraft)
• technology (Keycode, EAST, coding, robotics, or media tech)
• Physical Education (any athletics or PE)

More information will be coming on the dates that students will actually select classes for next year. This will happen in early May.

• Skill development sessions for those interested in trying out will be held during Hero Hour on March 15, 16, 30, 31, April 6 and 7.
• Tryouts will be held at HMS on April 20 and 21 from 7:30-8:30am for any students that have attended ALL skill development sessions.
• Teacher recommendation forms will be distributed during the skill development sessions and will be due on Friday, April 8.
• A current physical is not needed for the skill development sessions, but students must have one in order to try out.

• ALL girls will need to have a copy of their current physical with them to participate in try-outs.

This class is an acting class only. We're looking for students who would be comfortable performing in front of others!

This class is for students who are interested in creating costumes for our theatre productions. No prior knowledge in costuming or sewing is necessary!
