PV WEEKLY
WEEK 2 EDITION - 9/7/26-9/11/26
NEVER FORGET
This is a difficult day in the history of our country. As students went through their classes today, events and stories from September 11th, 2001 were shared and discussed. We observed a moment of silence and remembrance as a school and discussed the pledge to never forget which was made all those years ago. It is hard in some ways to comprehend how much time has passed and that PV students were born more than a decade after these events. Today we remember all those lost and the families and friends who were left behind.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT 2026
Back to School Night at PV will be September 17th at 7:00. You must know your child's first period class as all parents will report there to begin the evening. You will then receive a copy of your child's schedule to follow the rest of the evening.
PV PICTURE DAYS
PV picture days are September 15th and 16th. Pictures will take place on your child's PE day, so please check their schedule and the calendar.
Lifetouch Photos sent an email to all PV parents/guardians with instructions on how to order pictures. If you did not receive that email, please contact the main office.
6TH GRADE FUN NIGHT - SEPTEMBER 11TH
The first social event of the year is for all 6th grade students, today, Friday, September 11th from 5:00-6:30 here at PV. Students will bring home permission slips next week and there is no charge for this event.
COMMUNITY STOMP OUT BULLYING DAY - 10/5
Our school district is partnering with local businesses and community partners in a statewide initiative to promote the national World Day of Bullying Prevention on October 5th. All staff and students are encouraged to wear blue to show their support for the cause, and we welcome everyone from our Pequannock Township community to join us in wearing a specially designed Pequannock-themed shirt for the day.

N.J.S.A. 18A:40-42 requires public schools to annually distribute a fact sheet to parents or guardians of students in grade seven about the causes, symptoms and means of transmission of HPV, and where additional information can be obtained. The distribution of either the fact sheet about vaccination against HPV and/or HPV vaccine information for parents is acceptable.
PROFILE OF A GRADUATE - COLLABORATION
The Pequannock Profile of a Graduate is a district-wide initiative that outlines the skills and qualities that our community expects students to develop in order to succeed in their future endeavors, whether in higher education, the workforce, military service, or other career paths. The first focus was communication and the next is collaboration:
Collaboration- Graduates work productively with others moving forward through teamwork and shared effort.
Value Diverse Perspectives - Actively seeking, respecting, and integrating different viewpoints.
Contribute Meaningfully - Actively contribute one’s own viewpoint.
Demonstrate Flexibility - Achieving shared goals through a combination of compromise and consensus-building.
POMPTONIAN LUNCH SERVICE INFORMATION REGARDING FOOD ALLERGIES
Please see the following documents if information regarding ordering food and food allergies during the school lunch service is needed. Outside of students with food allergies, there is no advance ordering for students.
