Scheduling for High School Classes-
Students received their planning sheets for high school and began to fill them out. These are due next week, Wednesday (Meerman's classes) and Thursday (Sietsema's classes). Please use the link below to view the slides that assist with helping fill this out. They can see or email Mrs. DeRidder with any questions.

- Scheduling Sheet with 4-year plan view
- The 26-27 Course Catalog for CHS can be found here.
- This week, 8th Grade students continued working on their EDP in Naviance. They took a career interest inventory and searched for different careers based on their results. Have them log in to Naviance and show you what they found!
What is an EDP?
An Educational Development Plan (EDP) is a document showing a student's current interests, abilities, and career pathways. It is more comprehensive than a schedule of classes because it includes information a student can use to make wise choices about post-secondary options.
Naviance is a software that CAPS uses to help students explore interests, careers, and post-secondary education opportunities. This is utilized throughout Ottawa County and will be used in high school as well. Your EDP will change and grow every year!
Dual Enrollment Information
Michigan’s Dual Enrollment program allows eligible high school students to take college courses and earn both high school and college credit at the same time.
Participation is based on state-established guidelines, including minimum qualifying assessment scores and course alignment requirements.
The State of Michigan covers tuition and approved fees within set limits.
Families are encouraged to review the following link for additional information regarding MDE guidelines and the minimum qualifying score requirements.
