STETSER GATORS ARE UNSTOPPABLE!
Welcome Back to the 2026-27 School Year!
Welcome back to the 2026-27 school year! We are excited to partner with you! This year our schoolwide theme is that Stetser Gators are UNSTOPPABLE! 🐊 We are looking for EXCELLENCE EVERYDAY, not perfection, but to show up and be your best self every single day!
As we being the new school year, I want to emphasize one of the most important factors in a student's academic success: regular school attendance. Every school day matters. When students are in school consistently, they have greater opportunities to learn, build relationships with teachers and peers, participate in activities, receive timey support, and stay on track. Even when an absence is excused, a student misses valuable instructional time. A pattern of missed days can create gaps in learning, make it more difficult to keep up with schoolwork, and affect a student's connection to school.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) places significant emphasis on regular attendance. For purposes of Pennsylvania's chronic absenteeism measure, a student is considered chronically absent when they miss more than 10% of their enrolled school days during the academic year. Importantly, PDE counts both excused and unexcused absences when determining chronic absenteeism because, regardless of the reason for the absence, the student has missed valuable instructional time.
For example, in a typical 180-day school year, missing approximately 18 or more days represents 10% of the school year. That means a student can be considered chronically absent even when many or all of those absences are excused. Our goal, therefore, is not simply to avoid unexcused absences; it is to help every student maintain consistent, regular attendance throughout the school year.
We understand that there can be many reasons why a student struggles to attend school regularly. When we identify a pattern of absences, we will work with students and families to understand the underlying barriers and determine how we can help. We believe that attendance is a shared responsibility. Students have a responsibility to attend school and make the most of their educational opportunities. Families play an essential role in establishing routines and expectations that support regular attendance. Our responsibility as a school is to monitor attendance, communicate concerns, identify barriers, and provide meaningful support when students and families need it. Our goal is simple: every student in school, every day, ready to learn.
Thank you for your partnership,
Mrs. D'Eletto

Just a note - we do not serve Peanut Butter - Sun butter is used.
Door Dash / Uber Eats / Grubhub
We are seeing an increase in Door Dash, Uber Eats, and Grub Hub food deliveries. Please do not send your child food through these services. Many times, the food is left outside causing an unsafe situation. Students are welcomed to have a school lunch or pack their lunch, but Door Dash, Uber Eats, and Grub Hub are not a safe or acceptable option.
We thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
