๐ End-of-Year Library Updates
Can you believe we are already nearing the end of the school year? Itโs been a fantastic year of reading and exploring, but it is officially time to start getting our library ready for summer break!
Please keep these two important dates in mind and share them with your students:
Friday, May 8th: Last call for check-outs! This will be the final day for students to check out library books. We would absolutely love your help in reminding students to start bringing back their borrowed treasures after this date so we can get our shelves organized for next year.
Friday, May 22nd: The fun continues! Even though check-outs are pausing, regular library time, free books, and all our awesome activities will keep rolling right along as scheduled until May 22nd. Please note: After this date, the library will officially be closed for the remainder of the school year!
Thank you so much for being amazing partners in literacy this year. Let's make these last few weeks in the library an absolute blast for the kids!

๐ธ Help Us Capture the Year!
We want to make this yearโs yearbook the best one yet, and we need your eyes behind the lens! Whether itโs a candid moment in the classroom, a highlight from a field trip, or a great shot from a school event, we want to see it.
Please take a moment to upload your favorite photos to our shared folder at the link below:
Please share all your photos by tomorrow!
๐จ Finishing Touches: Self-Portrait Project Recap!
I hope you and your students are having a wonderful time bringing these self-portraits to life! To help things run smoothly as we wrap up, here is a quick recap of the next steps:
๐ Timeline
Ideally, weโd love to have all self-portraits completed and mounted before April 17th so we can get our beautiful displays ready!
๐ง Materials & Assembly
11x17 construction paper was dropped off today and name tags were delivered to mailboxes too!
Need more tags? No problem! Just reply to this email if you need a fresh set for your class.
Assembly: Please have students glue their portraits with glue sticks to the construction paper and place their name tag in the lower right-hand corner.
๐งทGetting Ready for the Bulletin Board
Once the portraits are finished, here is how to get your background paper:
Kindergarten: Please email Kristine when your portraits are ready to be mounted to the bulletin board paper. We'll take it from there and mount it.
1st โ 5th Grade: Send an email to Kristine to let her know when you're ready; she will deliver the bulletin board paper directly to your PLC team leadโs classroom.
Thank you all for your hard work and creativity in making this project a success! I canโt wait to see the final gallery.

YouTube Update
Elementary students cannot access YouTube as of June 2025. While this has its good points it may create a wrinkle in your teaching if you want students to utilize secondary video sources. If you have any questions or need support finding other options please reach out to Kristine. :)
Daily Sub Tech Capabilities
New this year, daily subs will use a chromebook issued from the LRC. These devices can connect to Vivi using classlink, however, daily subs do not have the ability to print.
They also do not have access to many Classlink and instructional apps. Please keep this in mind when you are planning an absence.
Below is a snapshot of what you're daily substitute will see in classlink.
