We’re always looking for ways to support our students both in and out of the classroom. In this update, we are excited to share a short video that highlights two key resources available to your child: Securly Flex, our digital scheduling tool for ELT (Extended Learning Time), and NHS Tutoring, a free peer tutoring program led by our National Honor Society students.

Please take a moment to watch the video linked below, where a brief overview of how these tools work and how they can help your student succeed.

Thank you for your continued support of our schools and students. Together, we honor our tradition of excellence while embracing the innovation and transformation needed to prepare learners for the future. A community-wide survey will be mailed to all households by the end of October to gather your feedback regarding a possible WUSD operational referendum in April 2026. Please complete the survey by November 17, 2025—your voice matters!

Students Checking Email - Why it matters

  • Students who check email are more likely to stay informed (deadlines, announcements).
  • They can communicate and engage with staff, access feedback, ask questions, which correlates with better support.
  • They build digital readiness and professional habits.

Goslings Thriving at WHS Goslings Thriving at WHS

The WHS chapter of the National German Honor Society celebrated German Week starting on German-American Day, October 6th. Besides a daily trivia contest and finding "Hannah the Bear," NGHS also hosted a competition to guess the number of German candies in a jar. Mr. Diderrich and Mr. Mertens shared the prize by each guessing the exact number, 73!
