Good Afternoon MGA Families,
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are grateful for the strong collaboration between home and school, and we see the impact of that partnership every day in our students’ growth.
This Thursday marks the end of the third marking period. As we close out this quarter, please take a moment to review your child’s grades and assignments in Canvas. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out directly to your child’s teacher. They are always happy to support you.
To help guide meaningful conversations at home, here are a few reflection questions you might ask your child about this marking period:
What is something you are proud of accomplishing this quarter?
Which subject felt the most challenging, and how did you work through it?
What is one habit or routine that helped you succeed?
What is something you want to improve or try differently next quarter?
As we look ahead, this is a great time to help your child set goals for the upcoming marking period. A few helpful strategies include:
Setting one academic goal and one personal growth goal
Creating a simple weekly routine for checking assignments
Celebrating progress, not just final grades
Encouraging your child to advocate for themselves by asking questions and seeking help when needed
A reminder that school is closed on Friday for a teacher workday. We hope this long weekend gives students a chance to rest, recharge, and prepare for a strong start to the next quarter.
Thank you again for your partnership and commitment to your child’s success. We look forward to finishing the year strong.
With appreciation,
April Murphy
