A Note from the Principal
Day 66/180: Conference Day!
As you know, today is Parent Conferences. Because the partnership between home and school is essential to the success of all students, our goal is always to have 100% participation among our families during conferences. Appointments may still be available for tonight's conferences at https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Lillian_M_Jacobs_School. In addition, teachers are always accommodating and can find time for meetings and conversation with families when conferences are not possible. Please make every effort to communicate with your child’s teacher(s), as open communication is one of the most important ways we can work together to support your child’s growth and success.
Our next JES assembly has been rescheduled to Friday, December 19. In addition, the next JMS Meeting has been moved to Thursday, December 18.
Mark your calendars for the Jacobs Theater Production of Dear Edwina, Jr., performed by our talented actors in grades 4 to 7 on Thursday evening, December 18, in the Jacobs Cafetorium. It is sure to be an incredible show!
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to seeing many of you at conferences tonight and at our upcoming school events.
-Mr. Shaw

Donating to the Jacobs Holiday Giving Program
Each year, the Jacobs staff contributes to gifts for our students in need through our anonymous Holiday Giving Program. This year, several community members have reached out to us to see how they can help. If you would like to contribute to the Holiday Giving Program at Jacobs School, PTO has graciously offered to collect funds and will turn them over to Ms. Evitts, to assist staff in purchasing gifts for families enrolled in the anonymous program. You can donate via Venmo at @HullPTO (under non-profit organizations when searching) or by using the QR code to the right. Please indicate "holiday giving program donation."

Learn About Pirate Time! Meet the Interventionists!
Join Us On Conference Night!
For those who were unable to make it to yesterday's Pirate Time presentation, we are offering an encore on Parent Conference Night, December 4, at 6:30pm in Room C148.
Have you heard your child talking about Pirate Time? Do you wonder what Pirate Time is? If so, please come meet your Jacobs Interventionists and learn more about Pirate Time. We will discuss what Pirate Time is, how groups are formed, and what you can do at home to support your child.
Jacobs Holiday Giving Program
We know that for various reasons some families may need additional support with gifts and/or clothing this holiday season, and we are here to help! If you would like to be included in our Holiday Giving Program and are not participating in another gift program, please click on this link to sign up. Please complete one form for each child you'd like to receive gifts. (Once you’ve completed the form for one child, click on the link again to sign up another.) Children must be registered by Monday, November 17, to give our donors time to shop. Participation in the program is kept confidential by the counseling department, and gift donors do not know who the recipients will be. If you have any questions, please contact Kacee Evitts at kevitts@hullpublicschools.us or at 781- 925-4400 ext.1137.
