Tynes Weekly Updates
February 13, 2025
Greetings from Dr. Borgese
π― Tiger Reading & Math Growth β Weβre Leveling Up! π―
Tiger Families,
We are excited to celebrate the incredible growth our students have made in both Reading and Math from Window 1 to Window 2!
π Reading Growth
In reading, we saw a strong increase in students performing at or above grade level, growing from 16% to 25%. Even more encouraging, the number of students two or more grade levels below dropped significantly (from 24% to 13%). This tells us that our students are building foundational skills and making meaningful strides toward grade-level proficiency.
β Math Growth
In math, the growth was even more substantial. Students at or above grade level jumped from 21% to 36%, while those one grade level below decreased from 41% to 31%. This reflects stronger number sense, problem-solving skills, and increased confidence across grade levels.
This kind of growth doesnβt happen by accident. It is the direct result of the hard work, dedication, and intentional instruction of our teachers, combined with the effort, resilience, and determination of our students. We are incredibly proud of the progress being made across our campus.
We will continue to build on this momentum as we support every student on their path to success.
Letβs keep leveling upβ¦ Every Student, Every Day. πͺπ
Warmly,
Dr. Borgese

Tynes Tigers "ROAR" π
We are in the process of updating our schoolwide behavior expectations. Our current expectations, PAWS-R, are being reimagined as ROAR, and we want input from our entire school community to help shape what each letter represents.
This short survey gives you the opportunity to review possible options and vote for your top recommendation for the letters R, O, and A. Your feedback will help us create expectations that reflect our shared values and support a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment for all Tynes Tigers.
Thank you for taking a moment to share your voice and help us get ready to ROAR!
