We had a week full of exciting events here at Holy Cross! We have a lot to be thankful for with how many blessings we were able to experience in just one short week. It started on Sunday with our Second grade class receiving their First Holy Communion. Fr. Abner and Fr. Marcos hosted 55 Scalabrinian priests from their order and their superior Fr. Giovani presided over the Mass for our First Communicants. What a special experience for our second grade students. It was a beautiful Mass and we are all so proud of you.

Fr. Abner and Fr. Marcos also hosted a Holy Cross Celebration of Cultures with entertainment and dinner for the visiting priests. It was a beautiful night celebrating our diverse community. We had our school families in several of the dancing performances including Rose Kinyon (Philippines), Trejo family (Honduras), Vasquez family, (Honduras), and Fernandez family (Mexico). There was a vast variety of food and it was a wonderful experience celebrating our community.

A BIG thank you to everyone for helping our students and staff get through State Assessment week. Mrs. Kerth and Mrs. Parker worked hard making sure the students and staff felt the support to BUST that TEST. Our staff and students did an amazing job and we are so proud of everyone's efforts! Remember that Science Assessments are next week for grades 5 and 8. Please make sure they get a good night sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.

We welcomed our newest Hornets this week with Kindergarten Round Up! It was great to welcome the new and returning families into our big school K-8 program. We are excited to announce that this is the largest Kindergarten class that we have had in the last five years. God is good!

Lastly, next week we will be celebrating Earth Day. We have a great day planned in Faith Families. We need a few donations to help with the events planned. Please see the sign up below.

Holy Cross' STUCO team is very excited for their upcoming fundraiser - the annual bake sale! We are looking for baked goods from you to make this successful! All proceeds will be going toward a STEM-related assembly next year. We are asking all desserts to be packaged either by the dozen or wrapped individually. If you are baking anything WITH NUTS, please clearly mark each bag. Home baked and store bought treats are welcome!

We are asking all baked goods be delivered to the school office or Mr. Wright's room at Holy Cross on Thursday, April 25th, or Friday, April 26th. (An initial sale will be held at the school on April 26th - followed by the annual Bake Sale at the Church.)Your participation in this very important fundraiser is much appreciated. We are looking forward to a yummy, successful bake sale!

If parents with students entering grades K-4 bring a friend that enrolls for the 24-25 school year will receive free tuition for a month. Inquire in the school office for more information!
