ELA- Mrs. Forderhase

Students completed their poetry vocabulary assignment and the poetry anthology project was introduced. Students will create their own collection of poetry. We spent time reading and writing poetry in class. Students also started their last personal reading book of 3rd quarter. As always, thank you for encouraging your child to read his/her personal reading book at home regularly.

Science- Mrs. Kenney

This week in science, we continued with our Energy Unit and our heat labs. In the first lab this week, students used the scientific method to observe how heat is absorbed with different types of liquids. In the next lab, students hypothesized and analyzed data on heat loss of different types of liquids. Then, students observed heat absorption and heat loss of soil, sand, and water. We will continue with our Energy Unit next week. If you would like to support our classroom projects, we would greatly appreciate donations of tissue paper, duct tape, hot glue sticks, and glue sticks. Thank you!
