Weekender Bags are Back!
The weekender backpack program (in partnership with Helping Harvest Food Bank) provides participating children with a bag of nourishing yet easy-to-prepare food to sustain them through the weekend. Each weekender bag contains assorted, shelf-stable meal options such as cereal, pasta, skillet dinners, soup, juice or shelf-stable milk options, and kid-friendly snacks. The weekender bag does not require refrigeration.
Who is eligible? Any student at JSC who would benefit from having a bag of nourishing yet easy-to-prepare food for the weekend.
Weekender bags will be available each Friday, beginning Friday, September 17th. Bags will be sent home with students.
PTO Updates
PTO Meeting
The first PTO general membership meeting will be held on Monday, September 16th @ 6:30PM. The meeting will be located in the JSC Library.
Fall Fundraiser
Mum forms are due on Wednesday, September 18th. Pick-up will be on Saturday, October 5th at the JSC Bus Circle from 12PM to 3PM.

Introducing the Class Dojo app
All JSC teachers are using the Class Dojo app as a schoolwide communication system! Class Dojo is a great way to communicate with your child's teacher, and stay up-to-date with upcoming events and important information. Our goal is to have 100% of parents connected. Not connected yet? Ask your child's teacher for more information.

Did you know???
The best elementary news program is up and running for the 24-25 school year! JSC's Morning Splash provides daily announcements and news with a splash of fun, and is hosted by JSC students! Students of all grade levels are featured. You never know who will make an appearance! The Morning Splash has its own YouTube Channel. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it! Shout out to JSC Library Media Specialist Miss Moore, for creating this great daily program! Roll Tide!

The Roller Roost - Skate Lessons
Learn to Skate Program Starts October 5! **
Are you or someone you know interested in learning how to skate? Whether you’re a beginner or just looking to improve your skills, we’ve got you covered with this Beginner's Class for ALL ages!
Our **Learn to Skate Program** kicks off on **Saturday, October 5th** and runs for **4 weeks** every **Saturday** from **8:45am-9:45am**. Perfect for those looking to commit to a full course and master their skating skills!
**Can’t make it every Saturday?** No problem! We’re also offering **drop-in classes** on **Wednesdays** from **5:00pm-6:00pm** for those who need a little more flexibility in their schedule.
**Important:** Registration is required for both the full program and drop-in classes. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn, have fun, and enhance your skating skills!
