Early Learning Center Families, Early Learning Center Families,

We are excited to announce that the Early Learning Center was selected to pilot a new platform for unified communication across Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123. With SchoolStatus Connect, families will be able to receive communications (Email, Text Messages, Phone Calls) from the district, as well as the school and classrooms, all in one place.

Family members can view SchoolStatus Connect notifications and keep up with district, school, and teacher communications in a variety of ways:

  • Directly in your email inbox

  • As an SMS text message on your phone

  • Within the SchoolStatus Connect family portal, via web or app (Search “SchoolStatus Connect” in your app store.)

You will receive an Email/text invite to join Connect on January 2, 2026. You will receive an Email/text invite to join Connect on January 2, 2026.

By clicking on the invitation link, you will be able to access messages through an online portal and change your communication preferences.

CRITICAL STEP: If you do not click the invitation link, you will only receive communications via Email. To receive text messages, you must click the link provided on January 2 and follow the steps below.

Classroom teachers may elect to start using SchoolStatus Connect as their primary method of communication starting as early as January 5, 2026.

If you have students attending multiple schools in District 123, this pilot is ONLY taking place at the Early Learning Center and Sward Elementary School.

Communications from the other schools in District 123 will continue to be sent and received as normal. During this pilot, you may receive district-wide messaging more than once if you have students attending a District 123 school not participating in the pilot.
