December 8, Monday Memo

The Holiday Shop will be open for students all week, offering a chance to find festive gifts and surprises. Thank you to the KH PTO for all that you do to make this season extra fun! Don’t forget to join us tonight for the Winter Band Concert and CAIHS, and enjoy a wonderful evening of music performed by our talented students! Student performers report at 6:00, and the concert starts at 6:30.

Next week, we look forward to welcoming everyone in for the winter chorus concert on Monday, December 15th.

We’re excited to announce that our Holiday Shop will be open soon, giving students the opportunity to pick out special gifts for family and friends. To make shopping easy and secure, you can purchase an e-gift card for your child instead of sending cash. Simply click on the button below to buy an e-gift card in the amount of your choice. Your child will use this card at the shop to select their favorite items. Thank you for helping us make this a fun and memorable experience for all students! Students may still use cash to shop as well.

On December 17th, the KH PTO will be showing HAPPY FEET for our December Fun Day. Happy Feet is a PG movie. Any parent/guardian who DOES NOT want their student to watch Happy Feet should email Mr. Graham (grahamr@casdschools.org) by Wednesday, December 16th. Fun Day is a school-wide PBIS event that all students get to participate in without trading in PRIDE paws.

2nd and 3rd Grade STEM Club

STEM Club for our 2nd and 3rd grade students will be starting in January! (The club runs in 3 cycles throughout the year.) In STEM Club, students will engage in various activities, challenges, and experiments to explore the components of STEM and develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The club cycle will run on the following Tuesdays after school until 5pm: January 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th. There will be 20 available spots per cycle. (If more than 20 students apply to a cycle, there will be a lottery.)

2nd and 3rd grade students who are interested in participating in this cycle should complete the Interest Form by Friday, December 19th. Once students have been selected for the cycle, more information and a permission slip will be sent home. Please email Mrs. Bennett (bennette@casdschools.org) if you have any questions or if you need a paper copy of the Interest Form.

(Students in Kindergarten and 1st grade, DO NOT need to complete the interest form at this time. A separate link will be sent out closer to the start of their cycle.)

Thank you, Ms. Chanudet, for organizing and hosting the 2025 King's Highway Spelling Bee. Our winners from each grade level will move on to the district level round! GOOD LUCK, KING 'S HIGHWAY SPELLERS!

King's Highway students, Nora, Claire and Calvin spent their weekend working hard at the Wagontown Fire Company Tree lot. They were out there braving the chill to help shoppers find the perfect tree.

Students who want to put their STEM skills to the test are encouraged (with the help of an adult) to fill out the form linked above. Ms. Bennett has been working hard to put together a STEM showcase night at King's Highway with student and community exhibits! Come be a part of the fun!

Krapf School Bus will be hosting a Winter Wonderland Family Fun Day at Rainbow Elementary on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM. The event will include games, arts and crafts, face painting, and more!

Let 's keep that canned food drive spirit going and share some charity to support our local scouts' Toys for Tots initiative.
