We would like to wish all of our families a restful and rejuvenating spring break. The school will dismiss at 3 PM on Friday, March 14th and classes will resume on Monday, March 31st at 8:40 AM.

Throughout the season of Lent, we will gather as a school for Stations of the Cross on Tuesday mornings at 9 AM. Parents are very welcome to join us.

Scholastic flyers were distributed this week to children in Kindergarten to Grade 6.

Hot lunch ordering for April-June starts on February 24 and continues until March 23. This term the PA is featuring a new in-house cooked meal: Beef or Chicken Bento Box. You can find more details about our Bento Box meal on the Hot lunch app. Orders can be made at sme.hotlunches.net. Please note only CREDIT CARD payments are accepted. Please do not leave cash or cheques at the school office, nor send them to your children's classrooms. Please also note no late orders, changes or cancellations will be accepted after deadline.

Congratulations to all our spellers who participated in the Verbal Bee on Tuesday. In particular, a big round of applause goes to Sophie A. in Gr. 7 for placing 1st, Olivia L. in Gr. 4 for placing 2nd and Francis B. in Gr. 7 for placing 3rd. Sophie will represent St. Michael's at the CISVA Bee in April.

A reminder to all of our Choir members - Practices are on Tuesday mornings at 8 AM in the music room. With special feast days and events coming up in the Spring term, there is lots to practice for!

Our Grade 3 and 4 classes have been invited to play in the Alicia Lahm Friendly Basketball Tournament at Our Lady of Assumption on April 10th (Grade 4) and April 11th (Grade 3). Further details will be sent home when we return after Spring Break.

Looking ahead to track and field season beginning in mid-April, we are inviting parents to help coach.

Practice times:

• Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school
• Lunch (field events)
• Morning practice (TBA) later in the season

This year, we are hosting a Spring Photograph Fundraiser for families in our school.

On Sunday, April 27th, our photographer will be available for family portraits for a small fee after the 8:30 AM and 10 AM Mass. Interested families will be able to sign up for a time in advance.

For our First Communion families, we will hold a second session on Sunday, May 25th, from 1 - 2:30 PM. Interested families will be able to sign up for a time in advance.
