Dear Manvel Families and Community Members,
You're invited to the final performance of our award-winning Manvel High School Theatre production, The Drowning Girls, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the Manvel High School Auditorium.
The Drowning Girls is a powerful and haunting production based on the true stories of Bessie Mundy, Alice Burnham, and Margaret Lofty—three women whose lives were tragically taken by the same man in the early 1900s. Our talented students bring their stories to life in a performance that is both emotionally moving and artistically stunning.
Admission is donation-based, and all proceeds will support the students attending the International Thespian Festival this summer in Bloomington, Indiana. You can make a donation by clicking HERE.
We would love for you to come out, enjoy an unforgettable evening of theatre, and support our students as they continue to grow, perform, and represent Manvel on a national stage.
Thank you for supporting the arts and our amazing Maverick performers!
Warm regards,
Julio Morales

2025 SOLV Energy PowerUp! Renewable Energy Scholarship
My name is Alli Comings, and I am a Senior Community Engagement Specialist at SOLV Energy.
SOLV Energy is a solar contractor and services provider for the utility sector. We build large-scale solar facilities, like the Second Division Solar Farm in Brazoria County, that generate enough energy to power upward of 20,000 homes per year with clean electricity.
At SOLV Energy our mission is to make a positive difference in the communities we work and live in through projects that generate good energy for people and the planet. Beyond the projects we build, we often partner with schools and organizations near our jobsites to invest in STEAM education.
I wanted to pass along a scholarship opportunity to share with Manvel High School High School seniors. SOLV Energy is proud to announce the third annual launch of The PowerUp! Renewable Energy scholarship, awarding six students in the U.S. $1,500 each who demonstrate how they will use their future education to pursue a career related to clean energy.
More information, instructions and eligibility details are available at https://www.solvenergy.com/power-up-scholarship.
