Wildwood Weekly News

Principal Message
As I send out the final newsletter of the year it is with mixed emotions. I could not imagine a better school, staff, and community for a first principalship. I am truly thankful for the time I have got to spend in this wonderful learning community. Wildwood School provided an excellent education to generations of local residents and I got to be a small part of its long history. But I am also excited for the opportunities our students have as they move into the next chapter of their schooling at Grand Trunk School in September.
Our last week was super busy, in addition to classroom activities our whole school had a field trip on Tuesday to Whitecourt's Festival Park. Wednesday we had a pancake breakfast from our school council and we had a field day. Thursday kids had hot dogs and we had our Bike Rodeo put on by Miss Weninger. Following our Friday awards, we hosted a community BBQ.
Thank you to all that have supported our school this year and throughout its history.
I want to particularly thank our small but dedicated group of School Council volunteers who have been responsible for the many hot lunches, pancake breakfasts, the legacy sweaters and many more things throughout the year, their work helps make our school the wonderful place it is.
Bus Registration
For all new students who enroll between March 16, 2026, and June 26, 2026, and who require bus transportation for the 26-27 school year, parents must submit a School Bus Registration on the GYPSD website (School Bus Registration tab) by June 30, 2026.
This deadline also applies to returning students who require bus transportation for the 2026-27 school year. A snapcode is not required to complete the School Bus Registration.
Sincerely,
Alan Stoyles
