Preschool & Kindergarten Roundup
Concord's Roundup will be held on the morning of May 29, 2026. You can submit an electronic request for an appointment using this link: Submit Electronic Request or you can call 695-1201 or email avozzella@kingdomeast.org.
There won't be any preschool on the 29th because that will be the location of the Roundup.
Staff Appreciation Week
The Booster Club is sponsoring a staff appreciation week from May 4th-May 8th. Because students have filled the CAT Coin jar again, they have earned a spirit week that will match the theme.
There are 2 options for each day of the week.
Monday: "Because of You, We Defy Gravity!"
Pajama Day: Students "defy gravity" by staying in their dream-state and wearing pajamas or loungewear to school.
"Munchkin" Day: A dress-up day for the younger students to celebrate being the "munchkins" of the school while older students dress as their favorite "Wizard of Oz" character.
Tuesday: "You’re So POPular"
Neon/Bright Colors: Students wear their brightest clothes to show how "popular" and standout their teachers are.
Celebrity/Icon Day: Dress as a "popular" figure or personal hero to celebrate the popularity of the school staff.
Wednesday: "Emerald City Celebration"
Green-Out: Everyone wears as much green as possible to turn the entire school into the Emerald City.
"Wicked" Sunglasses: Students wear sunglasses (like the ones needed to enter the Emerald City) to school.
Thursday: "Wicked Sweet Treats"
Pink vs. Green: Students choose a side by wearing pink (Glinda) or green (Elphaba).Sweetest Accessory: Students wear their favorite "sweet" or colorful accessory, such as fun socks, a bright headband, or a colorful bowtie.
Friday: "Flying Monkeys! Banana Split Bar"
Monkey Business (Mismatch Day): Students wear mismatched clothes or shoes to show off their "wild" side like a flying monkey.
Favorite Hat Day: Since the flying monkeys often wear distinctive headgear, students can wear their favorite cap or a "monkey" inspired hat.
Summer Camp
- Elementary Registration (current K-3 students)
- Middle School Registration (current 4-8th Grade students)
8th Grade Graduation
Graduation will take place on Tuesday, June 9th at 6:00pm. The 8th graders will meet in the Baker Space between 5:30-5:45 so that they can get lined up and ready to go.
To prepare for their graduation, the students will need to choose school appropriate photos. They will also select roughly 1 minute of a school appropriate song that will play while their photos are shown. Students can bring photos in to be scanned or photos can be emailed to Ann Guilmette at aguilmette@kingdomeast.org.
Students have been asking about transportation to graduation. The Student and Families Handbook says the following about ATVs, UTVs, 4-Wheelers, and Dirt bikes:
ATV, UTV, 4-Wheeler, Snowmobile, and Dirt bike Use on School Property
Kingdom East School District does not permit its students to operate any of the vehicles listed above on school property, whether or not students, age 12-16, have passed a course to operate such vehicles.
Community members with a valid driver’s license may drive such vehicles to and from the school for student drop off and pick up as long as all Vermont motor vehicle and traffic laws are followed. For instance, vehicles must be registered and anyone on board must wear a helmet. If seat belts are available, seat belt laws apply as well. Typical traffic patterns must be obeyed by drivers of these vehicles. Driving on school grounds outside of designated traffic areas is not permitted.
8th Grade Field Trip
Transportation: If your child is planning to attend the 8th grade overnight trip, please be sure to get us a completed transportation permission form ASAP. Students were given these prior to break. If you need another copy, you can request one by contacting Alicia Vozzella.
Events: The class would like to visit Spare Time in Portland. This is roughly a 30 minute drive from the house that they have booked. We've requested a reservation on the 27th from 12:00pm-3:00pm and are waiting to hear back.
The class is also interested in a beach visit. Old Orchard Beach is an option, but Palace Playland and the arcade are closed during the week. Students can walk the beach and explore shops. Please see expectations for shopping below in the Chaperone Guidelines.
Medical Needs: Mrs. Page has created a newsletter specifically for this trip. Please take a look at it. It includes permissions for things like sunscreen and bug spray. You should all consider filling out these permissions. If you want paper copies, please contact Alicia Vozzella. https://app.smore.com/n/qvh1d
Chaperone Meeting: All chaperones should plan on joining a meeting on 5/4/26 at 5:00pm. We'll review and solidify trip details, determine what need to ask the Booster Club for, and review the guidelines. All chaperones who are not school employees must be on the volunteer, chaperone, or sub lists. If you are not currently on one of these lists, you will not have time to complete the required background checks and will not be able to attend.
Guidelines for Chaperones on School-Sponsored Trips
Class trips are an extension of classroom learning. Students and chaperones are expected to act in a safe, kind, courteous, and reasonable manner at all times.
Chaperones are responsible for student behaviors for the duration of the trip. If a chaperone needs to leave their group for any reason, it is the chaperone’s responsibility to find coverage for their group of students.
Chaperones must be able to supervise the students they are assigned. Therefore, chaperones cannot bring children who are not part of the field trip group.
Students have a right to receive an appropriate education in an alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free environment. No chaperone is allowed to partake in alcoholic beverages, use tobacco products or illegal drugs at any time for the duration of the class trip.
Hazing, harassment, or bullying behaviors among students or chaperones will not be tolerated at any time. Any concerning behaviors should be reported to a school staff member at once and this person will report to the building administration.
Student cell phones are allowed; however, they may not post pictures of others without permission from the individual(s). Students are minors and their parents should give permission for their photos to be taken and posted. Adults should not be on their cell phones a lot. This sets a poor example for the students.
No student or chaperone is allowed to purchase any type of weapon or firearm as a gift or souvenir during the duration of the trip. Students and chaperones are also not permitted to purchase any clothing that violates the school dress code.
Students have the right to privacy. Information gained about students on this trip should not be shared with others.
