Trail Blazer Bulletin April 27-May1

Dear Trail Blazer Community
This week is a shortened week for students, with Thursday being a Professional Learning Day for staff and Friday being a staff and student holiday. I hope that you take some time to enjoy the time off with your families and that students come back rested and ready to tackle the last few weeks of school.
End-of-Year Chromebook Reminders
SENIORS
Seniors will return their Chromebooks in the library on May 14 and May 15. Students must return both the Chromebook and the correct charger. We cannot accept teacher cords or off-brand chargers; it must be a Dell brand 65W charger. Before returning the device, students should remove any personal stickers, but they should not remove FISD barcode labels or numbers. If a senior needs to purchase a replacement charger or if their Chromebook is damaged, they must contact Ms. Serna by May 11 so the fee ($20 for chargers) can be added to their account. Adding the fees and paying takes time, so don't wait!
When returning a Chromebook, students should only hand it directly to a staff member in the library who can issue a digital receipt. For seniors, any fees for missing equipment or damages must be paid by May 15 at 4:00 PM. If equipment is not returned or fees are not paid on time, graduation tickets may be withheld, and diplomas may be held until the account is cleared.
Seniors will also lose access to their FISD account, including HAC, Canvas, the student portal, and H Drive, shortly after graduation, though Google access will remain available until January 2027.
STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-11
Students in grades 9–11 should begin checking their Chromebooks now for issues such as missing keys, cracked screens, sound, camera, trackpad, power button, wireless connection, and charger. Any needed repairs should be reported in Incident IQ, and teachers can help students submit a ticket if needed.
Students who are returning to FISD next year should keep their Chromebook and charger, even if they are transferring to another FISD high school. However, families who are moving out of district must return the Chromebook and charger to the library by May 19, and they should be sure to hand it to a staff member who can issue a receipt. Families who decide to leave FISD over the summer will need to return Chromebooks and chargers to the administration building.
Class of 2026 Decision Day
We invite all students and staff to wear a college shirt on Monday, May 4th to represent your favorite university or future home! Curious about where our seniors are headed? Yearbooks are almost here, don’t miss your moment!
Distribution kicks off during lunch in the rotunda, so be sure to come on your assigned day and bring your student ID (or driver’s license). Grab your book, relive the memories, and start collecting those signatures!

Student Spotlight
Congratulations to Lebanon Trail High School Class of 2026 Top Ten Students
We had a wonderful day celebrating our Top Ten students and the teachers who inspired them! These seniors represent the very best of our school, and we are so proud of the dedication they’ve shown. It was just as moving to recognize the teachers they selected—educators who have played such a significant role in helping them reach this milestone.
These Trail Blazers did an excellent job representing Lebanon Trail at the FISD Special Olympics. We cheered them on before they left in their own special sensory friendly send off and they were all smiles as they headed out. Their Best Buddies were by their side every step of the way, delivering encouragement and high fives as they earned their medals.
Lebanon Trail High School's Best Buddies chapter raised over $1,000 for the North Texas Friendship Walk. Astha Gupta, LT's Best Buddies chapter president, was honored with "North Texas Chapter President of the Year". Her dedication to increasing membership, raising awareness, and hosting inclusive events highlights her leadership and commitment to bringing the community together. We are so proud!!!
Let’s hear it for the Class of 2026! We are thrilled to announce that Teena and Abraham were officially crowned this year's LTHS Prom Queen and King. Teena and Abraham shared the spotlight with their fellow classmates, dancing the night away and celebrating the incredible journey of the Class of 2026. Congratulations to our King and Queen for representing LTHS with such spirit and style!
Join us in celebrating the incredible achievements of our Lebanon Trail Theater department! Our talented cast and crew recently competed at the UIL Regional Theater Contest, and they are coming home with some major hardware.
🏆 LT Theater earned the prestigious Alternate to State spot, placing them among the top tier of performances in the region. Additionally, a huge shoutout to the students behind the scenes! Their precision and hard work secured the award for the Best Tech Crew execution of the night. While their competition season officially comes to a close, we couldn’t be prouder of our students and directors. They represented Lebanon Trail and FISD with immense talent, professionalism, and heart.
Congratulations to LT Baseball. With their win on Friday evening in front of a PACKED crowd on Community Night, the Trail Blazers Baseball Program completed their epic comeback to earn a spot in the playoffs for the 2nd time in program history! Their project, Mathematical Investment Decision and Analysis Strategy (M.I.D.A.S.), is an institutional-grade algorithmic engine for dynamic financial planning. Built in Java 💻, it integrates macroeconomic data, career modeling, and risk analysis to simulate real-world financial decision-making. After more than 150 hours of development and testing across 250 test cases, the team produced a sophisticated system that reflects both technical depth and practical application, endorsed by investment bankers from Goldman Sachs and Houlihan Lokey.
This accomplishment highlights not only their technical expertise, but also their creativity, perseverance, and commitment to solving meaningful, real-world problems. We are incredibly proud of their success and look forward to seeing what they achieve next!
We invite you to explore their innovative project: M.I.D.A.S. – Video demonstration and Slide presentation.
We are thrilled to share some exciting news about our students’ performance on the National Spanish Exam (NSE)!
The NSE is a prestigious national assessment that has been offered since 1957 and is taken each year by 80,000–100,000 students across the United States. It provides students who are passionate about Spanish the opportunity to challenge themselves and see how their skills compare on a national level.
While the exam does not directly align with our district curriculum, our campus proudly offers it as an enrichment opportunity for students who want to extend their learning. In fact, LT is currently the only school in Frisco ISD that participates in the National Spanish Exam!
We are incredibly proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of our students this year.
