Kindergarten registration is now open for the 2025-2026 school year! All children who live within the OJR School District, and who will attain the age of five on or before September 1, are eligible to attend school for the 2025-26 school year. We invite you to visit the registration website for the latest information about kindergarten registration and to register your child online, starting February 5th. At the end of the online registration process, you will be prompted to make an appointment to complete the registration process at our school on either March 5 or March 6, 2025.

If you have any questions, or if we can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to call Mrs. Alexandra Lewis, Attendance Secretary at 610-469-5710. We can’t wait to have your child join us for the upcoming school year!

Please don't delay in registering your child as soon as possible. It is extremely important that we have an accurate number of expected students for planning and staffing purposes.

We will be celebrating Read Across America March 3rd through March 7th.

In addition to a fun filled Spirit Week, French Creek will also host our Annual Book Swap on Tuesday, March 4th and all OJR elementary schools will participate in our district-wide Read-In on March 7th.

• Spring conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 5th and Thursday, March 6th.
• Students will be dismissed at 12:10 PM.
• AM Kindergarten will report on Wednesday, March 5th (NO PM CLASSES)
• PM Kindergarten will report on Thursday, March 6th (NO AM CLASSES).
• We are respectfully requesting that parents self-select a preferred conference time via a Google calendar link, which was sent out by your child’s homeroom teacher via email.
• The scheduling window will remain open until Tuesday, March 4th at 3:00 PM.
• Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher with any questions or concerns.

The French Creek Elementary READ-A-THON kicks-off today! All reading both in and out of the classroom between March 3rd and March 15th will COUNT. Please check your child's backpack for the Read-A-Thon flyer or visit our campaign website here to get reading!

This fun event encourages students to read and build literacy skills while also raising funds for our school (100% of funds raised will go back into our school!) The funds raised by the Read-a-Thon will go to help support our French Creek community, which includes Teacher Mini Grants, Field Trips, Family Togetherness Nights like Bingo Night, Family Art Night, and Enrichment opportunities like Book Fair, School Wide Assemblies, Veterans Day Celebrations, Field Day and Playground improvements.

Our GOAL this year is $15,000. Help us get there. Let's READ TOGETHER and crush our Goal!

Please ask your child about their grade level's robot!

Mr. Troyan is in need of a Field Day Parent Volunteer Coordinator to assist with making the SignUpGenius for volunteers and necessary supplies, assembling classroom packets which will include wristbands and sportsmanship ribbons, and other small tasks. If you are interested in assisting, please contact fcvpta@ojrsd.net.

Second trimester report cards will be available via Skyward Family Access on Friday, March 14th at 12:00 PM.

Students and staff are invited to wear green on Friday, March 15th. The fun will continue on Monday, March 17th for St. Patrick's Day!

There will be no school for students on Monday, March 31st.

Spring Picture Day will be Thursday, April 3rd.

Our 2025 PSSA testing dates will be:

April 22nd, 23rd and 24th for Grades 3-6 (ELA)

April 28th and 29th for Grades 3-5 (Math)

April 30th for Grade 6 (Math)

April 30th and May 1st (5th Grade Science)
