NJROTC 2025 Summer Leadership Academy

Congratulations, the following Colleton County High School NJROTC students were hand selected from many great cadets to represent Colleton County High at the summer Leadership Academy for 2025. Constance Keefer, Jordan LaPresta and Madyson Myers spent a week at The Citadel in Charleston, SC enduring intense heat to complete physical training and drill. They were divided into several platoons with students from other schools in SC, NC and Northern Georgia. This Leadership Academy aides the students in developing leadership skills so they may use those skills to make their home NJROTC units thrive. Constance Keefer's unit overcame their last place position in the beginning of the week to became the honor platoon who took first place at the end of the Leadership Academy. All three cadets did a fantastic job and graduated the Leadership Academy to earn a certificate.

The Colleton County NJROTC unit is under the direction of Chief Kenneth DeLee and PR1 Christopher Hutchens. The instructors are excited to add their next group of freshman in August. They are working diligently to add to activities that will make their unit fun while the cadets are learning great skills they will use the rest of their lives.
