WBMS Rising 6th Grade Elective Information
Hello Rising 6th Grade Families,
Mrs. Hamilton (Rising 6th Grade Counselor) and Mrs. Carson (Assistant Principal) recently met with 5th-grade students to begin planning for their transition to WBMS next school year. During this visit, students learned about the elective courses available to 6th graders and how to create a personal “wish list” of electives they are interested in taking.
Each student was sent home with a 6th Grade Course Description Packet, which includes detailed information about elective options, course descriptions, and a space for students to think through and map out their choices. This packet is designed to support thoughtful conversations at home before students complete the official Google Form to request electives for next year.
We encourage you to review the packet together and discuss your student’s interests before the form is submitted. This early planning helps us build a strong schedule and ensure a smooth start to their middle school experience.
Thank you for partnering with us as we begin this exciting transition to WBMS!
Let's GOOOOO Lakers!!!
Review the scheduling steps by opening the link above.
This is the packet of information sent home with each 5th grader.
It is important for each student to read through this information with an adult.
DUE: FRIDAY, Feb. 20th
Click the link above to input your "wish list' of electives. You need to do this by February 20th.
If you need to make a change, do that by the 20th. Please do not submit multiple forms--- adjust your original submission.
Early submission DOES NOT equal a guarantee to get an elective on your schedule. Do not RUSH... Take the time to review all the steps. Please note there are several factors that go into the elective scheduling process. Mrs. Carson or Mrs. Hamilton will call the parent/guardian if there are any questions or concerns regarding the form submitted.
Remember, these are classes that will be on your schedule EVERY day.
Thank you for taking your time to think through the best elective choices for YOU.
