As we celebrate Appreciation Week in WGSD, I, on behalf of the Board of Education and district leaders, would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering commitment and dedicated service to our students, families and one another. Once again, evidence of your remarkable commitment to the academic and personal well-being of our young people permeates our classrooms, schools and district. Thank you!
As a small token of our great appreciation and gratitude for you, we will be delivering cookies to all buildings on Thursday, May 11. We hope you enjoy these sweet treats, along with the other recognitions you deservedly receive throughout the week.
Additionally, we would like to announce the return of our raffle to win a half-day off work! There will be one winner per building, so please make sure to sign up here by Wednesday, May 10 at noon. If you don’t feel you can take the ½ day off, but would still welcome a district administrator in your space for any reason, please sign up as well! Once winners are announced, we’ll work with those individuals to ensure one of us can provide coverage at a time that works for each winner.
In order to help recognize the people at the heart of all that’s been accomplished over the course of the 22-23 school year, individually and collectively, we created a brand new virtual postcard program. This is a simple and effective way for staff, students and families, to demonstrate gratitude for the hard work, care and dedication of the teachers and staff of the WGSD.
