STEM Around Brooklyn
PreK
PreK finished their unit on healthy habits. They made posters categorizing healthy habits/food and unhealthy habits/foods!
Kindergarten
Kindergarten has been learning about different types of weather. They talked about types of clouds. Have you ever seen a shape in the clouds? They created their own clouds after reading, "It Looked Like Spilt Milk".
First Grade
First grade learned about how some animals have special designs on their feathers or fur that make it look like they have big eyes or extra eyes. They designed and built a mask for a scarecrow to keep birds away that used false eyes!
Second Grade
Second grade was so excited to find out if grids worked with their Dinosaur Dig Site! They also finished up their dinosaur projects before Spring Break.
Third Grade
Third graders learned about weather and the tools scientists used to measure it. They are tracking the weather factors each day. March was the perfect month to do it; one day it's 70 degrees and the next day in March it's 8 degrees!
Fourth Grade
4th graders will build and test windmills to determine which design works best!
