NEW CLUB FOR GIRLS GRADES 3 & 4!
STEM Around Brooklyn
PreK
PreK had a lot of fun learning how to work together to build structures.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and did an experiment where we learned that although we all look different on the outside, we are all the same on the inside!
First Grade
First grade has been working on penguins in Art! They chose warm or cool colors to paint swirls for their backgrounds. Then, they created a penguin drawing that they colored, cut out, and glued on top!
Second Grade
Second grade began a unit on penguins! They are learning all about where penguins live, what they eat, who their enemies are, what they look like, and why they are endangered. Did you know there are 18 different species of penguins?
Third Grade
Third graders are learning about fossils. Did you know that fossils are traces of remains of plants and animals that lived more than 10,000 years ago?
Fourth Grade
4th grade is diving into an exciting Winter Olympics STEM unit focused on energy in motion! Students will explore how forces, speed, friction, and energy transfer impact an athlete's performance during Olympic events.
CLUB PHOTO DAY
Monday, February 2nd is Club Photo Day for the yearbook! Yearbook photographers will be here to take candid photos of students in their classrooms, specials, at recess and lunch, and during morning arrival. They will also be photographing our student clubs! If your student has a t-shirt (or multiple!) for any group/club for which they are a member during the 25-26 school year, please have them wear or bring it to school on Monday, February 2nd.
