2026 Middle School (rising 5th-8th grade) KESD Summer Camp Registration Form

Kingdom East Summer Camp is a FREE summer camp offered to rising 1st-8th grade students. Camp is open to students living in Kingdom East towns, or currently attending KESD schools, Riverside, or Thaddeus Stevens. Graduating 8th grade students can apply to volunteer at camp as a CIT (Counselor in Training). CIT's assist a teacher in an elementary classroom. Use the form below to apply for this option. Dates: June 29, 2026 - July 31, 2026 (no camp Friday July 3rd) Times: 8:00am-3:00pm Location: Miller's Run School Monday-Thursdays, middle school students participate in hands-on academic activities with their grade level groups, have lunch, and then participate in afternoon activities. Middle school students choose their afternoon activities by indicating their top activities for each week on this form. Every effort will be given to honor your student's first choice request, but due to capacity some students may receive their second or third choice activity. You MUST choose three different enrichment options each week below. For example, if you want to bike all 5 weeks, select biking as your first choice each week (but make sure to check off your second and third choice activities as well). All transportation to activities, gear (camping supplies, fishing poles, bikes, etc) will be provided to students free of charge. There is bus transportation to and from camp, from hubs in each town, as well. Many middle school enrichment opportunities are held off campus and bus transportation to and from camp will be provided. On Fridays, middle school students will participate in field trips with their grade level groups. Field trips this year will be to Whale's Tale Waterpark and Jay Peak Waterpark. We are excited to offer five outdoor overnight trips through camp this year! Two of these trips (VT Huts and AMC) are listed as choices below because they are only open to KESD Camp students. Three of the trips are listed below but are offered as a collaboration between VREC & KESD Summer Camp. These trips can be found here, and you need to apply to them through the materials on that website, as well as through the form below. Students who are accepted on an overnight trip will participate in the overnight trip instead of their Monday-Thursday schedule. They will leave after 8:00am on Monday and return to camp before dismissal on Thursday (except for the VT Huts trip, which only runs Tuesday-Thursday), and participate in their regular Friday field trip. Please email Morgan Moore with any questions about these trips as you sign up (morganmoore@kingdomeast.org) This form is REQUIRED for any rising 5th-8th grade child who will attend camp at any point during the summer, space could be limited. Summer Camp priority registration deadline is April 1st. Students are welcome to register through June but may not be placed in their first choice activity. Families will receive a confirmation of registration and handbook detailing all summer camp procedures before the beginning of camp. If you have any questions about registration, please reach out to Morgan Moore at kesdsummercamp@kingdomeast.org or (802) 626-6100 x4731 If you would like paper copies of registration forms, please contact us at the above contact information.
