Reminder of Dismissal Procedures for Student Pick-Up
This is just a reminder, if you arrive to pick-up your student prior to the 2:05 p.m. dismissal bell, please park in the parking lot by the football field/high school gym and your student will meet you in the parking lot. Parking will not be allowed in the main driveway and/or in front of the main entrance. All parents will exit onto South Meadow Road, as the Pond Street exit is used for buses and student drivers.
January Testing Schedule
Our 9th - 12th grade students will be taking Mid Year Exams in all content areas in January. The Mid Year counts as 10% of a student’s final grade in each semester course and 5% of a student’s final grade in each full year course.
Our 6th - 8th grade students will be taking a Schoolwide Reading and Writing Assessment on Friday, January 24th. The reading and writing assessment will not be factored into students' term or overall grade. These assessments increase academic rigor and best prepare our students to take formative, cumulative tests. These assessments also provide our teachers with a common benchmark on students academic performance to guide teacher instruction.
Please see the attached exam schedule. Note, we will be having a schoolwide early dismissal on Friday, January 24th and early dismissal for grades 9 -12 on Thursday, January 23rd and Monday, January 27th in order to accommodate the testing and scoring schedule.
Middle School Yearbooks
The MS yearbook is now available to purchase online through January 21st at Jostens (link to school ordering). Please note that we have lowered the price this year to a soft cover book for $30 (online purchasing only) with a very limited amount available to purchase so first come, first serve!
Please also submit any JPEG photos from school events, sports, etc. from grades 6-8 to Mrs. Genovese (genovesej@carver.org) that you would like to be considered for the yearbook with the names of students in the photos. The Yearbook is a reflection of what we have to work with so please consider sharing photos and also purchasing this forever keepsake.
Thank you in advance for your support!

Student Ambassadors are 8th grade unsung heroes and quiet leaders who are eager to serve, lead, learn, and make a difference. Sydney will represent Carver Middle High School at Project 351's Launch and Service Day in Boston on January 25th.
