The Husky Herald
October 26, 2026
Thank you to all the families who joined us last Tuesday for Curriculum Night! It was wonderful to see so many families at Mt. Vernon and to have the opportunity to share what students are learning and how we are supporting their growth this year.
Strong partnerships between home and school make a big difference in student success. I appreciate our teachers for sharing their classrooms, curriculum, and learning goals with families, and I’m grateful to our families for taking the time to be involved in their child’s education. Thank you for being part of our Husky community and for partnering with us to make this a great year!
One Pack, One Purpose!
Mt. Vernon's Annual Spaghetti Dinner is on Thursday, October 29, from 5:30–7:00 PM Join us for a free dinner and a chance to connect with fellow Mt. Vernon families and community members!
This event is hosted by our PBIS Team, and it’s a great opportunity to learn more about how PBIS supports positive behavior and success for all students.
We hope to see you there for good food, great company, and community fun!
Get ready for one of our favorite school traditions — The Husky Run! The big day is coming up Friday, October 30, and we can’t wait to cheer on our Huskies.
The event will happen rain or shine! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the fun indoors with students running in the gym and under the covered area. If you are volunteering for the event, please come to the front office to check in and receive your name tag.
