Volume 4/Issue 35 - April 27th, 2025
Welcome to the end of April and the beginning of May! It is an exciting time but it is IMPERATIVE that we finish better than we started. Trust me, we are all excited for the end of school to roll in but we need to finish these last three weeks better than how we began. Fight off the distractions and "I can do it tomorrow" attitude because that is a slippery slope. Nearly there!

✨Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)✨
Congratulations goes to our own Becky Schueth who has been named a State Finalist for this award!
This is the highest honors bestowed by the United States government specifically for K-12 science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teaching. Awards are given to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teachers who have both deep content knowledge of the subjects they teach and the ability to motivate and enable students to be successful in those areas.
Mrs. Schueth is currently teaching high school mathematics here at SRC. This is her 11th year at S-RC and I teach Geometry, Technical Math, College Algebra, PreCalculus and Calculus. Becky has 20 years of experience in teaching and she began her career at Columbus High School. Mrs. Schueth Bachelor’s (2005) and Master’s (2009) degrees are from Wayne State College. She enjoys sharing her excitement for math with her students each day!
When you see her, please make sure you congratulate her on this incredible achievement! We are all proud and rooting for you!

Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Be Good...
Good morning!
I hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend and enjoying the moisture that we have received! We are in the final stretch and we need to continue to be better than we were yesterday. Both academically and socially. Every day is an opportunity to become 1% better and it is our choice each day.
For parents/patrons: You set an amazing example every day through your actions, big and small. When you're kind to others, help out, or make fair choices, you're showing your kids how important it is to do good. Your words and actions teach them more than you know.
For students: You have so many opportunities to do good every day! It could be helping a friend with their homework, being kind to someone who's feeling left out, cleaning up after yourselves, or even just being respectful in class. These little things make a big difference.
For all of us: Doing good isn't always about grand gestures. Sometimes it's about the small, everyday choices we make. It's about being thoughtful, helpful, and treating each other with kindness and respect. When we all make an effort to do good, it makes our school, our communities, and the world a better place for everyone. It's our shared responsibility, and when we work together, amazing things can happen.
Have a great rest of your Sunday!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
""We all have the duty to do good."
Pope Francis
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
