A Season of Gratitude and Growth at Pioneer High School

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education. At Pioneer High School, we have so much to be thankful for — our students, staff, and families who make our school community so special.

As we prepare to give thanks, we are also gearing up for an important season of learning and assessment. In the coming weeks, our students will be taking their Career & Technical Education (CTE) Industry-Based Certifications, End-of-Course (EOC) Exams, TSIA 2.0 assessments, and semester exams in December. These assessments play a significant role in student success and in maintaining our campus accountability rating.

It is crucial that students are present every single day and stay for the full day. Our attendance goal is 96.5%, but we are currently averaging around 90%, which means approximately 138 students are absent each day. Every absence matters — not only for student learning but also for our ability to maintain our A rating in accountability and earn all possible distinctions.

Please help us by ensuring that your child:

  • Attends school every day and all day

  • Arrives prepared for learning with their backpack, notebooks, Chromebook or laptop, and pen/pencils

Together, we can make a meaningful difference in our students’ academic growth and continued success. Thank you for helping us finish this semester strong!

With gratitude and pride,

Diamondback Attendance Challenge Diamondback Attendance Challenge

🎯 The Diamondback Attendance Challenge Starts Now! Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we head into the final stretch before the holidays, we’re launching our Diamondback Attendance Challenge to encourage every student to finish strong!

From November 17 through December 19, students who:
✅ Have perfect attendance (no absences or missed periods/blocks)
✅ Receive no discipline referrals

will earn a “Diamondback Pass” for a special food drop-off day in December! 🍔🥤

Attendance is directly connected to student success, and with upcoming CTE Industry-Based Certifications, End-of-Course Exams, TSIA 2.0, and semester exams, it’s more important than ever for students to be in school every single day and all day.

Let’s work together to help our Diamondbacks finish this semester strong — present, focused, and ready to succeed!

December EOC Testing and Attendance Reminder

As we prepare to close out the semester, we want to remind our Pioneer High School families that End-of-Course (EOC) exams will be administered in December 2025. These exams are critical for student graduation requirements and for maintaining our campus’s A rating in accountability. It is extremely important that all students are present and on time each day, especially during testing. Please ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep, eats breakfast, and arrives at school ready to do their best. Thank you for your partnership and commitment to student success.
