TMS Track & Field Weekly Update
05/09/21
Good Sunday Afternoon,
I hope everyone is enjoying their rainy Sunday afternoon. I would like to take this time to wish all the mothers out there a Happy Mothers Day! Thank you for all you do!
On Friday, the TMS Track & Field team competed in the last team invitational of the season. All I can say is WOW! There were two school records broken, multiple personal records set, and several athletes moved closer to qualifying for the OHSAA Middle School State Championship Invitational. I couldn't be more proud of this team.
I am sad that the season is wrapping up. This is one of the very best groups of athletes I have had the privilege of coaching. Their effort and willingness to work hard each and every day has just blown me away. The results are proof. Every track meet we had athletes setting new personal records. This can ONLY be done when the athletes put in the hard work during each and every practice.
Now that the season has wrapped up for most, we move to the off-season. I know that most athletes play other sports, and that is exactly what they should be doing. However, I want athletes to find time to keep practicing and preparing for next season. Keep jumping, keep running, keep throwing, and keep building your core. The THS track is always open for athletes to use. There is information for the TMS Track & Field Summer Camp. Every 7th-grade athlete needs to be there! The work to win SWOC and making the OHSAA Middle School State Championship STARTS NOW!
I would like to thank all the coaches for their hard work and dedication. I couldn't do it without them. I also would like to thank all the parents for volunteering during meets and transporting your athletes to practice and meets. We certainly couldn't have a team without your support! Thank you!
We are now waiting for the final results of the season to come in. Once they are final, we will know who qualified for the OHSAA Middle School State Championship. Only those athletes need to come to practice this week.
Below are some other announcements.
Take care.
