LTE CommunityUpdateApril 16, 2026

Let's Celebrate! 🥳 Let's Celebrate! 🥳

Dear Lone Tree Elementary Families and Staff,

I am so excited to let you know that Lone Tree Elementary is the recipient of the following award(s) from the Colorado Department of Education!

  • 2025 Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award
  • 2025 John Irwin School of Excellence

We are so proud of all the amazing students, teachers, and staff at Lone Tree Elementary, and we are thankful for Mindy Persichina's leadership. As a district, we want to celebrate the dedication and hard work of Lone Tree Elementary's students, staff, and families!

The staff and families of Lone Tree Elementary are invited to a special event recognizing your school.

State of DCSD Community Event, Monday, May 4 | 6:00 p.m. RSVP HERE

DCSD Legacy Campus, 10035 S. Peoria Street, Lone Tree

In addition to celebrating our award-winning schools, I will be presenting the state of our district to our community. The community will also hear from some of our amazing future graduates as they share their experiences in our schools and how those experiences prepared them to enter college or the workforce. We hope you will join us to help celebrate Lone Tree Elementary!

Sincerely,

Erin Kane

Superintendent, Douglas County School District

P.S. The 2026 DCSD Elementary School Art Show will be on display during the State of DCSD event. Be sure to allow some extra time to check it out!
