PPCSD Bombers Bulletin

The Annual Varsity Club Bonfire will take place on the athletic fields behind Stissing Mountain Jr/Sr HS on October 22nd from 7pm - 8:30pm (Rain date October 27th). If you reside in the surrounding area, you may notice smoky conditions during this time. Please do not be concerned, and rest assured, the Pine Plains Fire Department will be onsite while the bonfire is taking place. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Pine Plains Central School District.

The Principal sets the tone for the building, and keeps everything running smoothly from the cafeteria to classrooms, from athletic fields to the playground, and beyond. It’s the kind of job that starts early in the morning and goes well into the evening, regardless of scheduled school days and hours. Duties are too numerous to note, and responsibilities go far beyond just educating our students.

So let's all take a moment to thank the amazing Principals in PPCSD for all they do to make a difference in the lives or our students. Thank you Mrs. Fischetti, Ms. Roberts, and Mr. Boyd - We appreciate you and all that you do!

School Board Recognition Week is an opportunity to raise community awareness and understanding about the critical role school board members have within a school district. School board members are volunteers and do not always receive the recognition they are so deserving of.

Please join us in the auditorium of Stissing Mountain Jr/Sr High School for the Stissing Theatre Guild Fall Production, The 39 Steps. The 39 Steps play adaptation of the Alfred Hitchcock materpiece, is a fast-paced comedy whodunit with zany characters, and non-stop laughs.

On Tuesday, November 24th, the District will once again be implementing the NYS required early dismissal drill. Students district-wide will be dismissed 15 minutes early on this day. If you are picking your child(ren) up from school, or meeting them at the bus stop on November 24th, please arrive 15 minutes earlier than the usual dismissal or drop-off time.

If you have any questions regarding the early dismissal drill, please contact the main office of your child(ren)'s school.
