Every Student Matters, Every Moment Counts!

Welcome Back to School!

The administrative team and school staff of Conway Middle School look forward to welcoming students on the first day of school August 19. We are looking forward to another great year! We want to ensure all students and families are prepared as we work to "Build Greatness" for the 2024-2025 school year.

We recognize that to be successful it takes our entire village supporting our students. At CMS we, believe that when home and school work together we will make a difference in each child’s education and increase the chance of ensuring each child has a positive middle school experience at Conway Middle School.

With appreciation,
Regina Treadwell Pertell, Principal

Please practice patience during the first few weeks of school. You can expect delays with car lines and bus pick up and drop off as staff works hard to ensure routines are practiced with students.

School Hours are 8:15 am to 3:30 pm. Doors open at 7:45 am and all students should be picked up by 3:50 pm daily or be supervised at an extracurricular activity.

Arrival/Dismissal/Transportation

  • Morning Car Riders: No student may exit their vehicle before 7:45. Walkers should not arrive before 7:45 AM.
  • Bus Riders- For questions on bus stop locations or times, please contact the ConwayBus Office at 843-488-6094. Please expect delays during the first few weeks of school. Students on late buses will remain at school supervised until the bus picks them up. Students that arrive to school late on school buses will not be marked tardy.
  • Afternoon walkers must follow directives from staff on duty to help them reach their destination safely.

School Wide Rules and Procedures

  • Only sealed, unopened drinks are allowed at CMS. Stanley, Yeti or any other type of personal cup must be bought in empty. Water refill stations are accessible throughout the school for student use.
  • Cell Phones: In order to protect the integrity of classroom instruction and keep distractions to a minimum, all classrooms will be equipped with a cell phone locker. Students will place their cell phone in the locker when they enter the class, and may get their phone back at the end of class. Should you need to get a message to your child during the day, please contact our front office team.
  • No Airpods/Beats: Students will NOT be allowed to have wireless or bluetooth earbuds while at school. This includes Airpods and Beats. All earbuds must have a wire that can plug into their device. Students are only allowed to use wired earbuds when they have permission from a staff member.
