HARD WORK PAYS OFF!
Week of January 22nd
Good Afternoon Smith Parents/Guardians,
Congratulations to our girls basketball teams.
Our 8th grade A team Lady Leopards dominated the court in Saturday’s tournament. They won the tournament championship by beating Patterson 59-44.
Our 7th grade A team were the tournament runners-up as they came up just a little short in the championship game. The 8th grade B-team also represented SMS well as they played up, competing in the A-team tournament. They won their first game before coming up a short in game two.
All 3 teams played their hearts out and we are very proud of them!
Big thank you to all of our Leopards parents and staff that came out to support our Leopards!
Our Choir also had a great weekend! We had 6 Leopard choir students try-out for All-Region Choir and 4 of those were selected for the choir while another one was selected as an alternate.
Congratulations!

Required Shots for Next Year 7th Graders
Parents/Guardians of Upcoming 7th grade students:
This is a reminder to get your future 7th grader vaccinated to help prevent the busy back to school rush. This is to include any other vaccines that are reported as missing during the year. State law requires one dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) and one dose of the tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis(TDAP) for your student to start and/or enroll in school. Please take care of this as soon as possible as clinics tend to run out of doses as it gets closer to the start of school. If you have any questions or are not sure if your student is up to date, please call the clinic at 254-336-1074 or 1075. Thanks!
Doors Open at 7:30 AM
This is a reminder (especially with the cold temperatures) our doors do not open until 7:30 am each morning.
We do not have staff on duty before this time to supervise students.
