Good Morning Memorial Families,
I hope that everyone enjoyed the vacation week. If you remained in the area, we were certainly treated to some wonderful weather and sunny days. I am looking forward to the month ahead and all of the excitement that May and June brings; from field trips, to the book fair, to Specialist Night, to field day and fourth grade send off. Each week brings exciting moments and lots of fun as we end the school year on a high note.
Please mark your calendars for Specialist Night, on May 14th. Our specialists are planning a terrific showcase of all of the learning that has happened in our specials this year. I will share a more detailed schedule for the night next week, so that everyone knows which time slot to attend.
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Teaching is truly a work of heart. The time, love, and attention our teachers put into helping your children grow is remarkable and I am blown away each day by the work that Memorial teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, support staff, cafeteria staff, and our bus drivers do. We are a really blessed community and I hope that you will join me next week in celebrating another amazing year by hands-down the best school staff in the world. We have two PTO events happening this week. On Tuesday Night, the PTO is bringing in Claytime from Shrewsbury for a fun family event. Later this week the book fair will begin and will run through next Wednesday. Now is a great time to stock up on summer reading books that will keep your children learning and growing throughout the summer months.
