Unity Week!
Mac High’s annual Unity Week includes fun, activities and connections for students to feel more a part of the Grizzly community.
This year’s Unity Week was interrupted by the snow, so this week reprised a lot of the planned activities, including a rescheduled assembly with Donovan Beck (pictured above), an artist and storyteller who focuses on bringing communities together through creativity and universal experiences.
Before the assembly, Beck hosted a “Creativity Workshop” for students that highlighted telling their stories through poetry.

Celebrating International Women's Month
Mac High students, (from left) Merary Ulloa-Uribe, Wendy Ubaldo and Lexi Del Rayo, launched a passion project about female empowerment as part of International Women's Month. The team started by handing out stickers and keychains and engaging students in conversations about how to build the project moving forward.
Stay tuned for the next chapter!
Middle School Author Visit
Author Hillary Homzie visited both Duniway and Patton this week to present a writing workshop called “Dear Younger Me.” The workshops helped students write a personal essay using vivid imagery and strong verbs.
The visit was funded by a mini-grant from the McMinnville Education Foundation. Thank you, MEF!
