Jackrabbits Newsletter
Building on our Success Jan. 29th - Feb. 3rd
Week #5 of Marking Period 3
Greetings Jackrabbits!
Our new implementation of assisting students and families during morning arrival with opening doors seems to be working. With your support, our line has been moving smoothly in getting our traffic circulation with better control. The intent is to provide optimal customer service and keep students arriving and parents able to get the day off to a great start. It takes a community.
Children's author, Mr. Joe Hayes was here with our Jackrabbits last Monday to treat our scholars to some of the best story telling ever! Young and older kids at heart listened to his shared stories. In the words of our school librarian and media specialist, Mrs. Seelig, he has a "Magical Voice." Students in grades second through fifth were mesmerized by Mr. Hayes' story telling that one could hear a pin drop in our gymnasium. Thank you author, Joe Hayes for your time here with our scholars and teachers.
Celebration of our 100th Day of School is officially observed on Tuesday, Jan. 30th. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to be creative and wear their favorite 100th Day t- shirt, or attire. It's exciting to know that together we are approaching this milestone day. For students' their teacher typically counts down this day by using tallies, stickers, etc. to mark the day. As a campus we are celebrating with a dance. Please see the flyer attached and thank you in advance for your continued support.
Next Saturday, February 3rd, our students will be performing at our district's Rising Stars and Destination Imagination event at Pebble Hills Hight School. The DI competition is a BIG deal for both students and parents who have worked collectively hard with coordinators, Mrs. Seelig and Mrs. Navar. As said in the performance community, "break a leg," actors!
Outstanding cafeteria balances have increase once again and now totaling $3,900 dollars. Please contact Ms. Parra, our cafeteria cashier at (915) 938-2816 for an account balance. Some students have hundreds of dollars in fines. We do need your assistance in getting to a zero balance. Payments are always welcomed as we are sensitive to your family's budget. Thank you so much for your support!
Thank you for entrusting our team with serving your child(ren).
At your service,
