Mindess School Weekly Update

October 24, 2025
Happy Friday, Mindess families!
Kids Night Out is tonight! 🎉
We’re looking forward to a fun evening with our students. As a reminder, no phones or devices are allowed at the event so everyone can fully enjoy the activities and time together.
We also had an exciting Tuesday morning when Producer Dan from the Karson & Kennedy Morning Show on Mix 104.1 visited Mindess! He read a book, chatted with some of our students, and brought lots of energy to our day. Check out the Highlights section of this newsletter for photos and a link to listen to the Mindess segment on the radio show!
The Book Fair is coming the week of November 12th! 📚

Parent Conferences are next week.
We will have early release on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with dismissal at 10:40 a.m. Please note that lunch will not be served on these days. If you haven’t yet scheduled a conference, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.
Spooky Run – Next Friday! 🎃🏃♂️
Next Friday is our annual Spooky Run! Please note that students should not wear costumes for this event. All students are encouraged to participate in this fun community activity, but there will be an alternative option available for any student who chooses not to take part in the run.
Welcome Back, Mrs. Nicholson! 🏀
A huge thank you to Mr. Grace for stepping in to teach P.E. while Mrs. Nicholson was on maternity leave. He did a fantastic job keeping our students active and engaged! We’re excited to share that Mrs. Nicholson returns on Monday.
Finally, our Lost and Found has grown significantly since Back to School Night! You can view items here. If you spot something that belongs to your child, please pick it up when you come in for conferences. Any unclaimed items will be donated after conferences conclude.
Wishing everyone a great weekend ahead!
Warmly,
Kate Altman
