MTSS Lead Weekly Updates

Communicating gratitude is always important, but especially at Thanksgiving.

Thank you to each of you has stepped up and supported students in your building, but also to those who have supported each other through networking. I appreciate the engagement that I have seen this year in various professional learning sessions and also in the grace that you have extended to me. This is the final week before we enter December so be sure that you share your gratitude with others.

I received multiple emails last week from different schools regarding "out of compliance" message in PowerBi. This is most likely connected to the active tickets with vendors. Sadly they failed again Friday night so today will be no better. MSCS IT and I will continue to work with the vendors until resolved.

If you want to see if you're compliant with aimswebPlus Progress Monitoring be sure to look at the student data individually and verify it matches what is listed in the TNPulse Plan.

When a student has progressed to a point where they are progress monitored in the same measure at both instructional level and grade level, you will follow the cadence of the instructional level monitoring. All other students should have two schedules visible in Pearson aimswebPlus. TDOE has said they will release additional guidance soon to further support with scenarios such as this.

I will record a short presentation with MTSS updates that you can review. It will be emailed to all MTSS Leads on Wednesday by 5:00 p.m. The presentation will share highlights from my presentation this week that are relevant to all MTSS Leads.

You should not have an empty folder at this time in the school year even if you are keeping up with documentation at the school. Individual emails have begun to go out and will continue this week to identified leads and principals. Please refer to the following school folders if you need an example or are unsure of labels. Barret's Chapel K-8, Bolton High, Chimneyrock Elementary, Hickory Ridge Middle, Lucy Elementary, and Snowden K-8 are great examples. There are plenty of others who have the folder set up similarly and there is nothing wrong for I only wanted to provide a few examples.

December is a short, busy month. Please ensure that you have reviewed your schedule and are able to carry out progress monitoring, data team meetings, and update plans (even if this your only option). You will be asked to provide your January 8-31st benchmark testing schedule in the month of December too. Please review what is already in your folder in case you need to adjust anything.
