November 2024

Superintendent's Message
LPOSD Families,
November always holds a special place in my heart. As a mother, grandmother, and superintendent of an exceptional staff, I am reminded this time of year to pause and appreciate life’s many gifts — our families, friends, community, health, and this wonderful school district! Our community’s close-knit spirit and the natural beauty that surrounds us truly create a life rich with purpose. Thank you to our incredible students and families. You make our district a vibrant and engaging place to learn and grow, and serving you is a genuine privilege.
This month, I was especially proud to share the news of our district’s top-performing reading scores in Idaho. While the dedication of our educators is reflected in these strong results, it is also evident in our One Trusted Adult initiative. Ninety-nine percent of our students report having at least one adult at school they can rely on — an encouraging sign of the meaningful connections and safety-focused culture we are committed to fostering. Have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving break with family and friends — enjoy each other and share your gratitude.
With Much Gratitude, bwm
Dr. Becky Meyer, Superintendent
