β° On-Time Attendance: Helping Our Legends Start Strong!
At Lilyana, every minute of learning counts! Instruction begins promptly at 7:50 AM each day. To ensure your child has time to unpack, settle in, and feel ready for a successful day, we encourage all students to be in their classrooms by 7:45 AM.
Early Arrival: Doors open at 7:00 AM, and students may wait safely in the gym until they are dismissed to their classrooms at 7:25 AM.
Tardy Policy: Beginning Monday, students arriving after 7:50 AM will be marked tardy.
Our back carline doors begin closing at 7:45 AM so that our staff can transition inside to support students in getting ready to start instruction promptly at 7:50 AM.
Together We Empower
On Friday, August 28th, all state-mandated grades will have their vision and hearing checked, along with a quick visual check of their necks for the acanthosis nigricans marker (an identifying factor for Diabetes), conducted by PISD-certified screeners.
Eligible Students: All Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 5th-grade students, as well as any students new to Prosper ISD.
Opt-Outs: Students whose parents have opted them out will not be screened.
Scheduling Note: If you need to schedule appointments on this date, please try to book them after 2:00 PM.
Tips to Prepare Your Student:
Glasses & Contacts: Ensure students wear their glasses or contact lenses on screening day. If wearing contacts, students should inform their screener.
No Earrings: Please do not wear earrings on this day, as headphones can cause discomfort when pressing against them during the hearing test.
