A Message From the Principal

Starting next week the office will be selling suckers for $1 or smencils for $2. The money raised will help us put fun things in our PBIS store. Students are given PBIS points for following the rules and expectations of the school. They are then able to spend those points in the store- different items they can purchase are extra credit, drop lowest grade, coupons to al a carte and other small treats. We are hoping to add in some bigger ticket items to do some raffles this year.

iPads- We are having a lot of students forgetting to bring their iPads to school or bringing them not charged. Please have a conversation with your student about being responsible with their iPad. These devices are needed for their work completion, testing and other online assignments that they will need at school.

Connecting with the Counselor Connecting with the Counselor

5th Grade

This week, students learned about what the counselor does and does not do. We read a book together called "Mrs. Joyce Gives the Best High Fives," and then we created a project where students sorted and glued tasks that Mrs. Schrader does and does not do.

Things to ask your student...

1. What are some things that Mrs. Schrader DOES do?

2. What are some things that Mrs. Schrader does NOT do?

6th, 7th, 8th Grade

Students reviewed our Expectations Matrix by creating a PSA Commercial in a small group. Students who follow the expectations of the matrix have the opportunity to earn PBIS points that they can use to buy fun things.

Things to ask your student...

1. What location and expectation did they create their commercial for?

2. How many PBIS points do they currently have?
