Car Rider Line Drop Off and Pick Up Procedure: Starting Monday, 2/12
On Monday, 2/12, car riders may be dropped off in the rider line (bus lane) after both buses have completely left the bus lane. No cars may enter the bus lane until after the buses have left the bus lane. Cars may begin dropping students off in the car rider lane (bus lane) after 8:25.
In the afternoons, car riders may be picked up in the rider line between 3:20 and 3:25, but after that, the buses come to pick up bus students, so there need to be no cars in the bus lane. If there are buses in the lane, there can be no rider pick up cars in the bus lane, to avoid accidents. Please be sure to follow this so that we can continue to allow car riders to use this lane too.
Note: When you come the school to drop off your student, or pick up your student, staff will help get your child out of the car, but please do not get out of your vehicle to make the rider line move along quickly. We also ask that your student(s) exit the car on the right door, so they don't exit into the street. We also want to remind you that there is no parking in the rider line, and do not exit your car while in the rider line to ensure that this is a quick process to allow others to move through the rider line with ease. Thank you for your help with this. It may take us a couple of weeks to adjust to this new routine, so please give us some grace as staff work to help students come into the buiding quickly.
The Pierce Art World with Mr. Melle
February, 2024
This week we looked at sculptures by Louise Nevelson, Henry Moore, Frederic Remington, and Alexander Calder. We considered balance, symmetry, form, style, and purpose. Students interpreted this year’s Children and the Arts theme, “Birds of a Feather'' as they designed sculptures.
I look forward to seeing how these fanciful creations continue to progress when I return for the week of April 1st.
Thank you for supporting creativity!
