Dear Patrons, Staff and all of Grizzly Nation,

What an incredible first week it has been! Walking through our campuses, I have had the opportunity to witness classrooms filled with excitement, teachers inspiring curiosity, and students settling into routines with enthusiasm! The positive energy is a wonderful reminder of what makes Fruitland such an amazing community. A special 'thank you' to all of our parents, guardians, and staff who worked so hard to ensure a smooth start to the school year.

At Fruitland School District, our mission is clear: “Educating all students to their full potential.” Guided by this mission and inspired by our motto, “Rooted in Culture, Growing Toward Excellence,” we are committed to providing every student with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to thrive. Together, we will continue building on our strong traditions while preparing our students for a bright future.

We are looking forward to the year ahead, filled with growth, learning, and opportunities for every student to shine and grow!

Be A GRIZZLY!

Elementary Pawsatives Elementary Pawsatives

We are thrilled to welcome our brand-new Preschool program to Fruitland! It was such a joy meeting our youngest Grizzlies and getting to know these bright, eager learners as they begin their school journey.

Another exciting tidbit, the Early Childhood Center (ECC) now has a new refillable water bottle station, which has already been a hit with students and staff.

The excitement on the first day was contagious — from happy reunions with friends to the smiles of students ready to dive into a new year of learning, it’s clear we’re off to a fantastic start!

6th Grade Lockers

Our 6th graders are off to a strong start, learning how to successfully open their lockers — a big milestone in becoming independent middle schoolers! In addition Chromebook distribution went very smoothly for all grades, ensuring students are ready to dive into digital learning with the tools they need.

Spirit of Sport

Congratulations to Bennet Smith, who received the Spirit of Sport Award from the Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA). This is a very special honor, as only one athlete from the entire state of Idaho receives it each year. Congratulations, Bennett, and thank you for being such a remarkable Grizzly!

District Updates: District Updates:

Safety & Security Updates

At Fruitland, the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Over the summer, we completed important upgrades to the fencing at the middle school and installed new exterior doors at several of our buildings. These improvements are part of our ongoing efforts to maintain secure and welcoming campuses for all of our students.

Our district will continue to evaluate safety needs and implement proactive measures to ensure that every student feels safe and supported each day.

Communities for Youth Survey

This fall, middle and high school students (6th - 12th grades) at Fruitland schools will have the opportunity to participate in the Idaho Youth Well-being Survey! This survey, approved by the Idaho Department of Education, will allow those in our school community to better understand the experiences of young people across our schools and help them thrive.

The current focus is on ensuring all parents are well informed about this survey and that parents understand that this survey REQUIRES "opt-in" parental consent. Parents/guardians who are ready to provide their consent decision can access the e-consent HERE.

The survey is voluntary and anonymous. We do however do need at least 80% participation to get a true landscape of the needs of our students. Marsing School District has been doing this survey for three years and has found the information they get back very beneficial and allows them to focus efforts on the needs of the students.
